Learning objectives:

• Develop quality practice. High-quality education and care is important for all children, but the benefits for disadvantaged children are greater. The session will help you to consider how you can use your Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) to invest in effective professional development and respond effectively to each child’s individual needs. 
• Tailor personalised support. Some disadvantaged children will need additional support and teaching to make sure they make strong progress. The session will discuss some of the evidence-based options for spending on targeted interventions and robust assessment tools. 
• Lead, plan, and sustain. The session will explore the role of leadership in making best use of the EYPP.
