Regulation and Resilience – Not Just for the Children
15 May 2026
The Future Stage
We talk a lot about supporting children to regulate their emotions. But what about the adults leading the room?
In early years, leaders are expected to stay calm, make decisions, support staff, and manage pressure, often all at once. When leaders are dysregulated, it impacts everything. Culture, consistency, and ultimately outcomes for children.
This session challenges the idea that resilience is about “coping” and instead explores how emotionally regulated, self-aware leaders create stronger teams and more stable environments. We’ll explore how to lead with clarity, empathy and energy, without carrying the weight of everything or burning out in the process.
