Amy is Early Years Leader at an outstanding Nursery and Reception at Ormiston Herman Academy in Gorleston, who were the proud winners of the 2025 'Early Years in School' Nursery World Award.  In the past Amy has been an EYFS Specialist Leader of Education offering advice and support to schools in Norfolk. Amy spent three years at the academy in Year 1 brining EYFS practices into the year group to improve transition. Amy wrote a three-page feature in Nursery World Magazine about the positive changes that were made. This resulted in Professor Julie Fisher visiting the setting as research, referring to it as an example of good practice and included photos in her book 'Moving on to Key Stage 1: Improving Transition into Primary School.' After moving back into the Early Years Amy wrote a 26-month long series for Nursery World titled 'An A-Z of Enhancements' that ended in September 2024.
