With over 10 years’ experience in Adult and Primary education, Jo is a qualified Tutor with a QCF recognised Education and Training qualification, focusing on Special Educational Needs Support. Her training in Performing Arts has led her into teaching Drama and Musical theatre. And she has extensive experience leading workshops and teaching creative work to young people.

Jo’s passion to facilitate the best learning environment for every child shapes her work with colleagues and parents in educational environments, supporting newcomers to specific educational settings and one-to-one intervention support for those with SEND requirements.

As a professional performer for many years, Jo draws on live and recording experience to support her application of music creatively and with a keen ear for talent development. Exploration of contemporary alignment between Montessori and Music continues to be a passion for Jo, and work with June Fileti of the International School of Musicians, continues to be an inspiration for this work.

Jo remains instrumental in the evolution of our parent-facing work with MonteStory as a firm advocate for “parent as first educator” – parenting being her first and most important job too!
