Mandy Richardson is the CEO of Naturally Learning Ltd and a highly respected leader in early years education, with over forty years’ experience shaping innovative, nature-based practice here in Cornwall. She’s the founder of seven award-winning nurseries and forest schools, achieving multiple Outstanding Ofsted ratings, and is widely known for pushing boundaries in how early learning environments can truly support children’s development.

Mandy’s work is rooted in a deep understanding of early brain development and a belief that children thrive when they’re nurtured as whole individuals. Through Naturally Learning, she has created a holistic ethos where wellbeing comes first,  supporting children’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth through meaningful experiences, rich outdoor learning, and calm, thoughtfully designed indoor spaces.

Her settings blend innovation with nature, offering children places to explore their senses, spark creativity and imagination, communicate with confidence, rest and reflect, and develop early skills through curiosity-led play. Alongside her work with children, Mandy founded Cornish Early Childhood to inspire and empower the next generation of educators, demonstrating that exceptional practice, strong values and sustainable success can grow side by side.
