Mercy Huessy

Research Lead, Community Playthings

Beginning her career as a perinatal nurse, she expanded into early years education, co-founding a bilingual, Montessori-inspired nursery in Paraguay. She later taught English across diverse settings before returning to the UK to earn a first-class degree in Mental Health Nursing. Drawing on experience across NHS inpatient, community, and third-sector services, she now serves as Research Lead for Community Playthings, shaping evidence-based environments that support meaningful childhoods.
