Sam trained as a Waldorf Kindergarten teacher following a career in Conference Organisation. For over twenty years she has worked as a Parent and Child Group Leader and Kindergarten Teacher and in the last 10 years has co-ordinated training and continuing professional development for educators working with children from birth to seven.  She is a core tutor on the Holistic Baby and Childcare Course (https://emerson.org.uk/our-courses/holistic-baby-and-child-care-l3-diploma/) and the North of England Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood training (https://neswec.org.uk/).

Sam began working for Waldorf UK supporting early childhood practitioners.  Her interest working with children under three and their families led her to the Pikler approach, and she has undertaken Pikler training in the UK and Hungary.  In 2021 she completed an MA in Childhood and Youth Studies (Merit) focusing on the experience of children under the age of three in early childhood settings. She has undertaken the Trauma Informed Schools Practitioner Training and is currently undertaking in holistic play therapy.
